COVID-19 Update 07/18/2020
There have been no staff or patients that tested positive during the past week, and no COVID-19 related deaths. Staff continues to be tested weekly. Residents are tested if they show any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
We received guidance from the New York State Department of Health regarding Resumption of Limited Visitation to Nursing Homes. Limited visitation will be permitted for nursing homes that have been without COVID-19 for at least 28 days, a threshold set by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Visits will be limited to 2 people per resident. Temperature checks, wearing masks, and social distancing are required. We have submitted our Safety Plan to the New York State Department of Health, and are working on some final details of our plan to ensure the safety of the residents and their visitors. We hope to resume limited visits some time during the week of July 27th. We do not have the start date yet. You may contact Esther Wright 718-576-7152 or Kimberly Jeffers at 718-576-7198 to let them know of your interest to come to visit and they will contact you once the start date is determined. If a staff member or resident tests positive then visits will not be permitted per Department of Health Advisory. We look forward to resuming visitation.
